Public Concern is a national NGO (Non-Governmental Organisation) engaged in humanitarian and development work, dedicated to promoting the well-being of vulnerable communities. With its headquarters in Maroua and offices in Bertoua, Mokolo, Kousseri and Mora, the NGO operates in various sectors, including education, WaSH, shelter and SAME.
Public Concern combines emergency services with a human rights-based approach, and places particular emphasis on inclusion and equity, prioritising women, children and marginalised groups. Through close collaboration with beneficiaries, local authorities and technical and financial partners such as UNHCR, ShelterBox and Plan International/Global Affairs Canada, Public Concern strengthens the acceptance and sustainability of its interventions.
With over a hundred staff, the NGO is recognised for its effectiveness and humanistic approach, actively contributing to the resilience of the communities it serves.
